In a recent media interview, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson declined to revisit the early days of Ethereum. He stated that this period has been discussed extensively for years, and further questioning would not provide any new information.

Interrupting the question during the interview

According to reports, the interviewer originally hoped Hoskinson would recount the creation process of Ethereum from his own perspective. However, before the questions even began, he expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that there was already a large amount of publicly available information on the subject and that the questioner should conduct basic research first.

Hoskinson said he has answered similar questions hundreds of times and is unwilling to discuss his career from over a decade ago, which lasted only a few months. In his view, such probing ignores the longer period of work that followed.

Repeated questioning feels like reopening old wounds.

In the interview, Hoskinson described this repeated questioning as constantly asking the person involved to relive difficult past experiences. He stated that if someone has already dealt with the relevant events and decided not to discuss them publicly anymore, it is inappropriate for the outside world to continue to ask questions.

He also stated frankly that he was tired of continuing to talk about the early days of Ethereum. The report mentioned that the relevant background included long-standing details such as his Miami residence and the Swiss conference, but these had been documented multiple times before.

We hope the outside world will pay attention to Cardano's development.

Rather than recounting the details of his departure from Ethereum, Hoskinson prefers to focus on the projects he has since spearheaded. In the interview, he mentioned that Cardano has grown into a network with a market capitalization that once reached hundreds of billions of dollars, which is more worthy of discussion than looking back at his brief early tenure.

Public records show that Hoskinson participated in the early work of Ethereum about 12 years ago, serving for approximately six months before leaving to found Cardano. He believes that continuing to focus on that brief experience now offers limited practical value to readers and viewers.
