The number of XRP Ledger addresses has exceeded 8 million, and the distribution of holdings has changed accordingly. Latest data shows that holding 2151 XRP is enough to place you in the top 10% of all holders.
The holding threshold continues to decline.
Over the past few years, as the number of wallets has increased, the amount of XRP required to enter higher holding ranges has been steadily decreasing. Previously, it took approximately 4,000 XRP to enter the top 10%, and reportedly close to 60,000 to enter the top 1%.
Address growth drives changes in distribution
Despite the increasing number of online wallets, the holding thresholds at higher quantiles have actually decreased, reflecting that XRP is being distributed across more addresses. This change in holding distribution also indicates that the number of active addresses on the network continues to expand.
Prices remain below previous highs
At approximately $1.15 per coin, 2,151 XRP coins would be worth about $2,500. XRP is currently still below its previous high of approximately $3.50, having fallen by about 65% to 70% from its peak.
