Rootstock's latest ecosystem data has driven a rapid rise in the price of its related token, RIF. The market is less concerned with short-term fluctuations and more focused on whether this Bitcoin-secured smart contract network is translating infrastructure progress into more stable on-chain demand.
Continuous operation for more than 3100 days
Rootstock Infrastructure stated that since its launch in January 2018, the network has operated continuously for over 3,100 days without interruption. During the same period, this ecosystem has processed nearly 21 million transactions.
The official disclosure also revealed that Rootstock currently covers over 84% of the Bitcoin network's hashrate and accounts for more than 40% of the total value locked in Bitcoin DeFi. According to them, no security vulnerabilities have occurred on the network to date, and PowPeg has not experienced any financial losses.
RWA grows in tandem with its partners
In addition to operational stability, Rootstock has also updated several ecosystem metrics:
- There are already 118 projects that have tokenized real-world assets.
- The tokenized RWA has exceeded $44 million in size.
- More than 200 ecological partners
Regarding underlying performance, Rootstock claims the network maintains 100% online rate, with an average block time of approximately 26 seconds, and remains fully compatible with the EVM. Its native asset, rBTC, continues to operate on a 1:1 Bitcoin backing model.
The market is focused on whether the ecosystem can translate into demand.
This surge in RIF's price wasn't directly driven by new launches, airdrops, or incentive programs, but rather occurred after an update to the ecosystem's data. This suggests that investors are placing greater emphasis on Rootstock's expansion speed as a Bitcoin DeFi infrastructure.
The article notes that short-term price surges may not be sustainable, but infrastructure data tends to attract more medium- to long-term attention. For the market, the more crucial question going forward is whether more assets and applications will continue to migrate to the blockchain, further driving demand for RIF in practice.

If this trend continues, Rootstock's position in the BTCFi sector may further improve. Conversely, if ecosystem expansion slows, the token's short-term price surge may cool down.
