EigenLayer's on-chain data has recently shown signs of recovery. Although the price of EIGEN is still hovering around $0.23, the number of whale transactions and new wallets is rising simultaneously, indicating that some large funds are refocusing on this restaking protocol.
Whale trading in a single day rose to a March high.
Data shows that EigenLayer recorded 60 whale transactions in a single day, the highest level since March 16. At the same time, the network added 219 new EIGEN wallet addresses, the strongest single-day increase since June 10.
The most noteworthy aspect of this data is that the price did not rise in tandem. Typically, a sudden surge in on-chain activity while the price remains stable often indicates that some funds are positioning themselves at lower levels, rather than chasing the price upwards. However, this type of signal does not necessarily mean that the trend has reversed.
The re-staking ecosystem continues to attract attention.
EigenLayer's renewed popularity is also related to its restaking business. Unlike traditional staking platforms, EigenLayer allows Ethereum validators to restake their assets to secure additional services, often referred to as AVS.
This model extends EIGEN's narrative beyond just the token price itself, connecting it to Ethereum's shared security, the EigenDA data availability network, and EigenCloud's off-chain verifiable service offerings. The article mentions that recent wallet growth and whale activity may also be related to AVS rewards, the fee-driven token mechanism, EigenCloud's development progress, and market attention regarding future token unlocks.
The $0.32 to $0.34 range remains a key resistance level.
Looking at the price action, EIGEN has been slowly recovering along an upward trend since bottoming out around $0.15 in April 2026. The current price is approaching the 200-day exponential moving average, with the corresponding resistance zone roughly between $0.32 and $0.34.
If the price subsequently breaks above this range, market expectations for a retest of $0.70 may increase. If it fails to recover this level, the price could return to around $0.15; in a weaker scenario, it could even fall to around $0.10.

Overall, the more noticeable changes in EigenLayer are currently occurring in on-chain data rather than in price itself. For the market, this means that investor attention is picking up again, but whether the price will follow suit depends on whether it can break through the upper resistance level.
