According to CoinMeta, Meta has acquired the programming tool Conductor developed by AI. The founder of Charlie Holtz announced that the team will join Meta's Super Intelligence Laboratory (MSL), to collaborate with Nat Friedman and Alexandr Wang on the development of new products. Conductor is a tool for managing multiple coding and agent; it supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode, and allows for task allocation and parallel work in separate code branches. Conductor was launched in July 2025, completed a $22 million Series A financing in March this year, and is already being used by over 100,000 developers. This acquisition means that the original version of Conductor will be phased out; new user registration and downloads will cease on November 4th, the cloud version will become read-only on November 13th, and it will be officially shut down on the 20th with user data deleted. The local version will also be gradually discontinued at the beginning of 2027. Holtz indicates that the team plans to launch a new development tool interface by the beginning of next year.
