According to CoinMeta, Musk deleted a post that was campaigning for the Republican Party after the U.S. midterms. Several major American media outlets predicted that the Democratic Party would win a decisive victory on November 3rd, regaining control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. On election day, Musk called on voters on the social media platform X to “vote red today!” However, that post disappeared from his account on November 4th. Musk invested $474 million in this round of midterms, setting a historical record for political spending by a non-candidating donor in a single electoral cycle. Despite his public support for Republican candidates on multiple occasions, the election results did not go as he wished.
