Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen regional and international efforts aimed at easing tensions and containing the crisis, to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy in resolving disputes peacefully, and to immediately cease all actions that threaten the security of the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and Hormuz Strait. Previously, there were reports that, amid the intensification of conflicts in Yemen, Syria was considering providing military assistance to Saudi Arabia at the request of Saudi authorities.
