Anthropic races towards IPO, Claude designs AI chips to draw market attention

According to CoinMeta, Anthropic is pushing towards IPO and demonstrating to investors the capabilities of its in-house chip development team, which consists of only 15 people. They have already applied Claude in actual engineering designs. Engineers stated that some of the work took less time than estimated for traditional chip manufacturers such as NVIDIA and AMD. If Claude can provide design tools to other semiconductor companies, it could enter a market worth billions of dollars. Currently, the annual revenue of chip design software giants Synopsys and Cadence is estimated to be around $16 billion combined. This news sparked a reaction in the market; on November 3rd, the stock prices of Synopsys and Cadence fell by about 4% during trading. Competitor OpenAI is also making moves, having used its own models to assist in the development of Jalape chips and signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with Synopsys to develop AI models specifically for chip design.
