Hu Chunming, the executive deputy secretary-general of the Liquid Crystal Branch of the China Optical and Optoelectronic Industry Association, stated that in 2025, the output value of China's new-type display industry reached 838.6 billion yuan, with a global market share of over 53%, and the shipment area of display panels exceeded 220 million square meters, accounting for 77% of the global market. In June this year, China's first and the world's second 8.6-generation AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) production line began mass production in Chengdu, which will greatly drive the expansion of AMOLED screens, which are already widely used in mobile phones, into markets for laptops, monitors, and other medium to large-sized devices.
