Economists: Inflationary pressures in France's service sector ease, while inflation in manufacturing further accelerates

According to CoinMeta, Joe Hayes, Senior Chief Economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence, stated that the French economy is showing signs of vulnerability. Political instability is not new for French businesses, but currently, businesses' concerns about the short-term economic outlook have reached their highest level since 2013 (except in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic). To some extent, this reflects that as next year's presidential elections draw near, the related uncertainties continue to remain high. However, price pressures in the service sector have eased, with service industry charges only rising slightly, a decrease from September's increases. In contrast, inflation in the manufacturing sector has accelerated, indicating that the costs of the global energy crisis are currently mainly confined to the commodity sector, rather than the service industry.
