According to CoinMeta, blockchain detective Zachxbt has identified the French bank Cr é dit Mutuel Ark éa as the main entity behind a recent $133 million crypto asset theft incident. On November 2nd, over $106 million was abnormally transferred from multiple centralized exchange accounts of this institution, with the funds withdrawn using USDC and USDT. A portion of this amount was exchanged for ETH and Monero, followed by another transfer of $27 million, most of which was withdrawn through Kraken hot wallets. The total assets of this bank exceed $235 billion, and its clients include Stripe. The bank has not made any public response since the incident.
