U.S. mid-term elections tilt in favor of Democrats, Asian tech stocks decline

According to CoinMeta, preliminary results of the mid-term elections in the United States show that the Democratic Party is performing favorably, which further strengthens the market's bets on a Democratic Party victory overall, leading to a general decline in Asian tech stocks. Investors are concerned that this may slow down investment in artificial intelligence in Asia's technology-intensive markets. Chris Weston, head of research at pepperstone, said: "Whether it's a Democratic Party victory by a large margin or a Republican Party's unexpected win in the Senate, both could trigger a large-scale adjustment of market positions." U.S. futures linked to the Nasdaq index fell by about 1.5% on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. South Korea's kospi index rose at the opening but then declined, with chip stocks weakening and dragging down the broader market.
