According to CoinMeta, Ken Martin, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee of the United States, expects the Democrats to achieve a historic victory on Tuesday. However, just a few hours before the first batch of midterm election polling stations closed, he warned his party: “As long as Trump is still president, he should never be underestimated.” Martin stated, “I am confident that we can at least counterbalance his power by winning back the House of Representatives tonight,” and also said that the Democrats have a decent chance of winning the Senate as well. Martin noted that Trumpism remains a powerful political and ideological force. He believes that even though Trump is in a “lame-duck” state, he still possesses tremendous power; Trump’s control over the Republican Party has not weakened. Martin said, “Looking ahead to 2028, at those who are rumored to possibly succeed him—Rubio, Vance, Hegseth, they are all Trump’s followers.” “To think that ‘Trumpism’ will end with Trump’s departure is simply a mistake.”
