According to CoinMeta, Mistral CFO Johan Bergqvist stated in Bloomberg that although Europe is behind in the AI competition, this does not mean that they have lost. He pointed out that Mistral is a three-year-old company, while OpenAI has been established for about 11 years, so in some indicators, Mistral's performance is actually quite good. He emphasized that Mistral requires more computing power to train models and mentioned that their latest model was trained on approximately 3800 GPU, whereas other companies in the industry are using even more computing resources.
