According to CoinMeta, PIMCO CEO Emmanuel Roman stated that the financing scale related to artificial intelligence (AI) could grow to about $10 trillion in the next five years, eventually reaching an excessive level. He estimates that over the next five years, the AI industry may have a financing need of about $2 trillion per year to fund capital expenditures. In comparison, the US bond market is approximately $12 trillion in size. Roman mentioned during a discussion at the 2026 International Financial Leaders Investment Summit alongside Blackstone Group President Jon Gray that this scale will ultimately “become too large.”
