2026-11-01 14:59:12
According to CoinMeta, and based on an official announcement from the fintech platform Onepay, Walmart's investment in Onepay has now launched a stablecoin deposit feature for some American users. This feature is supported by Bridge, a stablecoin infrastructure platform under the payment company Stripe. Users can transfer USDC from 12 different blockchains, including Tempo, Base, Solana, Ethereum, etc., to their Onepay checking accounts. The funds are automatically converted into US dollars and added to the account balance, which can be used for bill payments, transfers, and savings without the need to hold a separate balance of stablecoins. Bridge is responsible for generating deposit addresses, managing security, conducting compliance reviews, and converting the funds into US dollars. No conversion service fee is charged at the initial launch of this service, but users will still have to bear any possible blockchain network fees.
