2026-11-01 07:58:01
According to CoinMeta, on-chain analyst specter stated that North Korean hackers transferred approximately $38 million in funds over a period of 7 hours through the relay protocol cross-chain bridge, and the transfers were still ongoing at the time of posting. Although relay claimed to have deployed a kyt (Know Your Transaction) monitoring system, it was unable to prevent these transactions. specter pointed out that it is unlikely for North Korean hackers to transfer such a large amount of funds within the same time frame through thorchain and questioned the compliance and risk management capabilities of relay.
