According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cailian News on October 29th, some investment managers in Australia are cautious about the upcoming initial public offering (IPO) of Anthropic PBC. John Pearce, the chief investment officer of the Australian pension fund UniSuper, stated during a panel discussion at the CFA Australian Investment Conference held in Melbourne: “This is an amazing company.” However, he also pointed out that whether it can turn into an excellent investment is another matter. Documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday by Anthropic show that the company will issue shares directly to Australian investors after submitting its prospectus to the Australian securities regulatory authorities. Pearce mentioned that valuing the company at around $2 trillion may be “a bit of a stretch,” and noted that the company is still in a state of substantial losses. Achieving positive cash flow and generating considerable profits within three to four years will be a “challenging goal.”
