According to CoinMeta, the Cognition programming company has received a new round of financing offers, with investors valuing the company at up to $70 billion to $80 billion, which even exceeds the implied equity valuation of $60 billion when SpaceX acquired Cursor. On September 8th, Cognition raised over $2 billion with a valuation of $48 billion, and in just seven weeks, the highest bid has increased by 67%. The annual revenue of Cognition has grown from $492 million in May this year to over $1 billion in September, with clients including NVIDIA, Citibank, and Mercedes-Benz. However, compared to Cursor, its valuation is still higher. Cursor achieved an annual revenue of about $4 billion in June, which is nearly four times that of Cognition. People familiar with the matter say that if the investment in its own-developed models is not taken into account, Cognition's free cash flow is already close to break-even.
