CoinMeta data: Oil prices rose nearly 2% after Houthi militants claimed to have launched missiles at Saudi Arabia's largest refinery. Brent crude oil futures increased by 1.9% to around $116.03 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose by 2% to $101.91. This price increase occurred after oil prices fell nearly $2 on Tuesday, as concerns about supply disruptions grew. Saudi authorities have not yet confirmed the attack on the refinery or reported any production losses. The Houthi militants stated that they launched ballistic missiles at Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanura refinery, which can process about 550,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Although the Houthi militants claimed that the missiles hit their targets and caused a fire, there is no independent confirmation of damage yet.
