Solflare Issues a Security Notice: Pledge Service Provider Experiences a Security Incident
2026-10-28 09:01:20
According to CoinMeta, the Solana ecosystem wallet Solflare issued a security notice stating that its staking service provider encountered a security incident, which affected the private keys of the Solflare verification nodes held by that provider. As a result, these verification nodes have temporarily stopped generating staking rewards. Solflare emphasizes the safety of users' assets. Since the SOL entrusted for staking is stored in the users' personal staking accounts and is controlled only by the users' own private keys, the on-chain protocol prohibits verification nodes from transferring users' staked assets. Therefore, no user funds have been affected. The team is currently building new Solflare verification nodes and preparing a migration plan. Subsequently, migration guidelines will be provided through official app updates, and a compensation plan will be established for users who participate in the migration during the period when staking rewards are suspended.
