According to CoinMeta, as reported on the Kremlin website on October 27th, Russian President Putin met with Qatar's Emir (head of state) Tamim during the "Gas Exporting Countries Forum" summit in Moscow on that day. Putin pointed out that the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran under the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan remains valid as a basis for advancing the negotiation process. Russia has advocated for a cessation of military actions and a political-diplomatic solution from the beginning of the Iran conflict and is prepared to take all possible measures to help resolve the issue. Tamim stated that the tense relations between the United States and Iran have had a negative impact on the entire region, including the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and the energy sector. Qatar values and looks forward to Russia's mediation in the situation of the Strait of Hormuz and other regional crises, including the Palestinian issue as well as humanitarian issues in Gaza.
