Global AI stock selling intensifies, US semiconductor stocks fall for the sixth consecutive day

According to CoinMeta, today there was an intensification of selling in AI stocks worldwide, with U.S. semiconductor stocks declining for the sixth consecutive day. This selling signal indicates a significant shift in market sentiment, as rising interest rates threaten an infrastructure spending boom that could be even larger than America's historical railway expansion. South Korean KOSPI stocks fell by 6%, while Japanese Kioxia stocks tumbled 13%. Stocks in the memory and storage sector also saw substantial declines: Western Digital ($WDC) fell 6.5%, Seagate ($STX) fell 6.1%, SK Samsung Electronics (HKEX: 000660) fell 4.8%, Micron ($MU) fell 4.7%, and Sandisk ($SNDK) fell 4.1%. Blackstone Group also downgraded its rating on U.S. stocks to "neutral," warning of the volatility associated with AI. Investors are questioning whether large-scale AI investments can justify their high valuations.
