AMC CEO Adam Aron Once Again Questions Robinhood's Stock Tokenization Business
2026-10-13 17:57:00
According to CoinMeta, AMC CEO Adam Aron has once again issued a statement questioning Robinhood's stock tokenization business, publicly addressing Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and its Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher, demanding an explanation as to why they support the latest US regulations on stock tokenization while not clearly stating whether their overseas operations follow the same principles. Aron accuses Robinhood of issuing stock tokens through a Jersey-based entity, suggesting the possibility of double standards for domestic and international operations. Previously, SEC introduced an innovative exemption mechanism for stock tokenization transactions that required related products to guarantee the same shareholder rights as traditional stocks and allowed issuing companies to raise objections. Robinhood has consistently argued that its overseas stock tokens are independent financial instruments and do not grant the holder the shareholder rights associated with traditional stocks.
