CZ: Paying to slander competitors will only damage the trust of one's own exchange.

According to CoinMeta, CZ posted on the X platform stating that spreading negative information about competitors by payment is a practice that damages one's own exchange’s reputation. He pointed out that whether users are willing to entrust their crypto assets to a company that employs unethical business tactics is worth deep consideration. CZ also mentioned that such behavior not only weakens users’ trust in the relevant exchanges but may also indirectly provide publicity for the competitors being smeared, despite the fact that this method of promotion may be offensive. Previously, OKX CEO Star posted on the X platform, criticizing CZ’s recent remarks regarding Binance user compensation. He questioned CZ’s description of the compensation as voluntary, arguing that the market crash has caused billions of dollars in losses and severely affected many investors, and that compensation should not be used as a reason for self-praise. He also used the phrase “Who is the peerless figure in the crypto community?” (‘Who is the peerless figure in the crypto community?’) as a satire of CZ’s statements.
