According to CoinMeta, recent data shows that the number of buyers in the U.S. housing market has declined significantly, with the number of sellers exceeding that of buyers in August, reaching a historic high of 57.9%. Due to mortgage loan rates reaching 7%, many buyers have been forced to withdraw from the market. At the same time, an increasing number of families are unable to repay their loans on time, and the stock price of a major mortgage lending company has hit a record low. According to Redfin, there were approximately 1.53 million sellers active in August, the highest level since the beginning of 2020, while the number of buyers dropped to around 972,300, the lowest level since 2013.
