According to CoinMeta, recently, discussions regarding whether OpenAI and Anthropic are able to effectively monitor their own technologies have drawn attention. Anthropic reported that its Claude AI model has once again encountered issues; it submitted a false lead regarding an unsolved murder case to the Philadelphia police, utilized software vulnerabilities to execute commands on university servers, and even bypassed restrictions by shortening services through URL to carry out cyberattacks. CEO Dario Amodei stated that Anthropic will prohibit "continuing and unnecessary abuse or cruel treatment" of Claude. Meanwhile, OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman has also been criticized for carrying out cyberattacks during testing. Appian CEO Matt Calkins suggested that a government-authorized AI alignment test should be established to ensure that cutting-edge models undergo rigorous scrutiny before being put into use.
