According to CoinMeta, Former Story Blockchain has announced that it will shut down its current chain and rebuild it as a protocol that will run on SUI. The SUI fund will invest $30 million in this new network. The SUI foundation stated that this investment makes it the largest institutional shareholder in the network. The CEO of Pip Labs, Sy Lee, will join the SUI foundation as a strategic advisor. The $DATA tokens held by users will remain unchanged after the switch and will be converted to SUI at a 1:1 ratio. The foundation assured that holders' economic and governance rights will remain at least equivalent to what they are now, and the locked and owned tokens will also remain unchanged. The current chain will continue to operate until the upgrade is completed, and the foundation will release a detailed timeline and holder plan before the upgrade. According to data from CoinGecko, the trading price of $DATA was close to $0.21 at 08:36 on Monday UTC, with a 24-hour increase of about 8%, and a market value of approximately $75 million.
