According to CoinMeta, hackers launched attacks on two AI projects, Fetch.ai and Nunet, on September 19, stealing nearly 2 million US dollars. The attackers extracted approximately 8.7 million FET tokens from the token conversion contract of Fetch.ai, worth about 1.53 million US dollars, and used the same wallet to mint about 408.5 million unauthorized NTX tokens, valued at around 463,000 US dollars. Security companies Blockaid and PeckShield stated that both attacks were carried out by the same perpetrator and have publicly released the attacker's wallet address to help other projects and exchanges identify and prevent further fund transfers. After the attack, the NTX tokens of Nunet plummeted by 65%-70%, while the FET tokens fell by about 10%. The attackers quickly converted most of the stolen funds into 546 ETH tokens, worth about 1.44 million US dollars, using this strategy to make it more difficult to track the stolen cryptocurrencies. As of now, Fetch.ai and Nunet have not issued any official statements regarding this attack.
