Kalshi, Coinbase and Bitnomial apply to launch perpetual futures on individual stocks

According to CoinMeta, the prediction market platform Kalshi has applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch perpetual futures on individual stocks. These products do not have a preset expiration date and their prices are anchored by funding fees. On the same day, Coinbase also submitted an application for perpetual futures on individual stocks. Payward, through its exchange Bitnomial, has applied to launch perpetual futures covering 10 U.S. stocks, including Tesla, NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon, with plans for 24-hour trading seven days a week.
