New York Stock Exchange plans to list $40 trillion in stocks and ETF on the blockchain

According to CoinMeta, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is working to list $40 trillion in U.S. stocks and ETF on the blockchain. The exchange has spent a year testing Avalanche and is building a tokenized securities platform with on-chain settlement and financing based on stablecoins. Tokenized shareholders will retain full dividends and voting rights, as well as enjoy instant settlement and split shares. The head of strategic affairs at ICE stated, "Avalanche meets many of our needs."
