Bitcoin breaks through $80,900; $192 million in leveraged positions liquidated within 1 hour

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin rose from around $76,400 on Friday to $80,935, breaking through the $80,000 mark for the first time since September 7th. Within an hour, approximately $192 million in leveraged positions in the cryptocurrency market were liquidated, of which short positions exceeded $183 million. Bitcoin-related positions were liquidated for about $119 million, while Ethereum short positions were liquidated for about $36 million. After the Bank of Japan raised interest rates, Bitcoin once rose to the range of $77,400 to $78,000 on September 17th. On that day, US spot Bitcoin recorded a net inflow of about $159 million.
