Russian Yaroslavl refinery suspends crude oil processing due to Ukrainian drone attacks

According to CoinMeta, a refinery in Yaroslavl, Russia, has suspended crude oil processing due to damage caused by Ukrainian drone attacks. The governor of Yaroslavl Oblast, Mikhail Yevraeyev, stated that a large-scale drone attack was thwarted in the region, with a total of 65 drones being downed without any casualties. This attack damaged the refinery's main crude oil distillation unit. The unit has a daily processing capacity of 17,140 tons, accounting for about 40% of the refinery's total processing capacity. The refinery also has two other main distillation units: one with a designed capacity of 11,430 tons per day, accounting for 27% of the total processing capacity, and another with a capacity of 14,300 tons per day, accounting for 33% of the total processing capacity. Sources mentioned that the third unit was previously damaged in another drone attack on August 28 and is still in maintenance at the time.
