According to CoinMeta, Jamie Selway, the head of trading and markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stated that the U.S. stock market data infrastructure plan will be extended to operate 23×5 (24 hours a day, 5 days a week) starting December 6th. Several approved exchanges will be able to provide trading during these hours. Currently, there are already 4 ATS that offer overnight trading, and DTCC began 23×5 stock clearing in June; there is a possibility of expanding this to 24×7 trading in the future.
