United States SEC: Tokenized securities transactions require 30-day notice to the issuer
2026-09-17 21:32:19
According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stipulates that tokenized securities platforms must notify issuers at least 30 days in advance of stock trading. If an issuer raises objections, trading shall not proceed; failure to respond is deemed as consent. SEC Chair Gary Gensler stated that issuers must have the opportunity to object and prevent their securities from being traded. Exempted tokenized stocks must provide holders with the same rights as traditional securities, including the right to receive dividends and exercise voting rights.
