According to CoinMeta and reports from Glonhui, data from the U.S. Treasury Department shows that in July, the holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds by China and Japan both decreased compared to June, while the UK increased its holdings. Specifically, Japan held $1.104 trillion in U.S. bonds in July, a decrease of $13 billion from June; China held $618 billion, a decrease of $15 billion from June; and the UK held $998 billion, an increase of $58 billion from June.
