According to CoinMeta, the first candidate version of Bitcoin Core 32.0 was released on September 14th, with the official version expected to be launched on October 10th. This version will introduce a new fee estimation mechanism based on pending transactions and parallel reading of transaction data to speed up block verification. Wallets will default to using the PSBT v2 format. In addition, the version fixes a vulnerability in non-Windows systems where authenticated users could execute commands through malicious wallet names, as well as issues that the new Web servers and REST interfaces might cause, which could lead to node memory exhaustion.
