According to CoinMeta, as the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision approaches, U.S. Treasury yields rose across all maturities during the Asian trading session. On Monday, the yield on 10-year Treasuries exceeded 5% for the first time since October 2023. Investors are awaiting the Fed's interest rate decision on Wednesday, with the market pricing a 25-basis-point hike at a 93% probability. A rate strategist at ING Bank stated in a report, "Logically, a rate hike should calm the long end of the yield curve, yet the long end tends to be extremely volatile." According to tradeweb data, the yield on 2-year Treasuries rose by 4.4 basis points to 4.676%, while the yield on 10-year Treasuries increased by 6.2 basis points to 5.021%.
