According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, the U.S. Department of Justice is seeking to seize $61 million in crypto assets, claiming that these funds are related to Iranian oil revenues and that the funds were transferred through Binance. Binance stated, "We have absolutely not engaged in any direct transactions with any sanctioned entities," and claimed that they have identified and reported suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities. The exchange is currently operating under the compliance monitoring of the U.S. Department of Justice and had previously reached a settlement of $4.3 billion in 2023.
