According to CoinMeta, U.S. Representative Darrell Issa has proposed a bill that requires federal agencies to identify, protect, and register cryptocurrencies and other digital assets found in seized electronic devices. The bill also calls for the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to establish unified government standards for the identification, custody, and disposal of such digital assets.
