Bulgarian Parliament passes bill allowing National Tax Service to obtain detailed data on crypto asset users

According to CoinMeta, the National Assembly of Bulgaria has passed amendments to the "Taxation and Social Security Procedures Law," allowing the national tax authorities to obtain the names, addresses, dates of birth, tax residency, tax identification numbers, and transaction data of cryptocurrency asset users. This legislation implements two directives of the European Union, which require companies dealing with cryptocurrency assets to register and report users' personal information and transaction details. EU member states are required to comply by December 31, 2025.
