According to CoinMeta, Revolut recently encountered a phishing scam where attackers used the domain names of real government agencies to send fraudulent messages, resulting in the disclosure of some customer information. This information may include names, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, as well as passports, driver's licenses, IBAN, account statements, withdrawal and transaction records, etc. Revolut stated that the number of affected customers is “very limited,” and neither the company’s systems nor customer funds were compromised. There are rumors online that the attackers are demanding a ransom of 10,000 BTC, otherwise they will continue to make the data public. However, Revolut has not confirmed this ransom demand, nor has the authenticity of the currently leaked information been verified.
