Darkfost: The cycle template of rapid new highs after Bitcoin halving is starting to fail
2026-09-13 22:46:54
According to CoinMeta, analyst Darkfost stated that Bitcoin has not reached a new high in nearly a year, with the last high occurring about 342 days ago. The pace has slowed down after this round of halvings, but the interval between the previous peak and the next new high is getting shorter: it was 1180 days from 2014 to 2017, 1094 days from 2017 to 2020, and 849 days from 2021 to 2024. Darkfost believes that the trend of shorter intervals between new highs continues, and the next halving is expected to occur in April 2028. There is no need to wait for a new high immediately after the halving as in previous patterns.
