According to CoinMeta, Bitget Wallet has announced its official joining of the Japanese Blockchain Collaboration Alliance (BCCC), becoming the first globally recognized TOC self-hosted wallet to join BCCC. With Japan implementing new regulations related to cryptocurrency service intermediaries in June 2026, Bitget Wallet will participate in industry policy discussions as a BCCC member, exploring the role and positioning of self-hosted wallets within the compliance framework, and promoting the awareness and application of on-chain finance among Japanese users. BCCC, established in 2016, is Japan's largest blockchain industry association with over 270 member companies. It has multiple professional committees, including one for DEFI and stablecoins, and has long been responsible for policy communication and collaboration between the Japanese blockchain industry and regulatory authorities.
