According to CoinMeta, renowned on-chain analyst Willy Woo pointed out that an abnormal signal has appeared in Bitcoin’s HODL volatility data, a signal that has never been seen in nearly two decades of data. He stated, “We have an anomaly,” and noted that investors buying at the bottom seem to be accumulating slowly, rather than making aggressive purchases in a short period of time. Woo explained that usually, widespread accumulation would result in clear peaks of purchasing activity during Bitcoin’s younger HODL price ranges, but this time such peaks were absent. Woo believes that this may be due to one large investor or a relatively small number of entities quietly accumulating Bitcoin.
