According to CoinMeta, South Korea's second-largest exchange Bithumb issued a announcement stating that it would list HEMI as a trading warning coin and suspend the token's recharge service starting at 11:50 local time on September 9th. Bithumb pointed out that the reason was a security vulnerability in the smart contract used by the project for initial reward distribution, which had led to an abnormal outflow of some tokens. At the same time, the project team failed to disclose key information in a timely manner that could affect users' investment decisions, and the exchange believed it was necessary to further verify the adequacy of the information disclosure and the team's emergency response measures. Bithumb expects to announce the review results from October 5th to 9th. Previously, Upbit also urgently canceled its original plan to support HEMI on the exchange due to signs that the contract had been hacked and tokens stolen.
