According to CoinMeta, the Dubai Multi Commodities Exchange Center (DMCC) announced that the world's largest silver bar, weighing 1,971 kilograms and certified by Guinness World Records, has officially been tokenized, becoming the first physical commodity asset (RWA) launched under the DMCC-VARA tokenization framework. The silver bar has a purity of 99.9% and was manufactured by the United Arab Emirates' SAM Precious Metals to commemorate the country's founding in 1971. The platform Tokinvest, which is regulated by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), issued fragmented digital rights as asset-backed virtual assets (ARVA), with the underlying tokens deployed on BNB Chain. Subscription was opened to qualified institutions and retail investors on September 7th, and there are plans to subsequently open regulated secondary market trading.
