2026-09-09 12:01:22
According to CoinMeta, as reported by bits and media, Russian President's Special Representative for International Organizational Relations and Presidential Advisor Boris Titov stated in an interview that cross-border payment systems anchored to cryptocurrencies are efficient and highly reliable. He pointed out that, against the backdrop of Western countries continuously blocking traditional financial settlement channels, digital assets have almost become the only viable path for Russia to settle transactions with partners in Asia and other countries. Given the ongoing geopolitical situation, the demand for using cryptocurrencies to pay for imported goods will remain high and urgent in the next two to three years. In addition, Russia's new legislation on national regulation of cryptocurrencies came into effect on September 1st.
