Swiss Franc stablecoin enters testing phase, with 9 institutions participating

According to CoinMeta, the Swiss franc stablecoin has officially entered the testing phase. six and payment giant twint have newly joined, along with UBS, PostFinance, Sygnum, Raiffeisen, the Bank of Zurich (ZKB), BCV, and Swiss Stablecoin AG – a total of 9 institutions are participating. The project was initially launched in April of this year, and the testing is based on CHFD, which is pegged to the Swiss franc at a 1:1 ratio. It covers automated transactions by financial institutions, tokenized asset settlement, and programmable payments, including scenarios such as e-commerce fraud prevention, ticketing, and public fund distribution. The testing is expected to last until the end of 2026, and at present, it is still in a trial phase and not an official commercial release for the public.
