xverse Launches Bitcoin Joint Staking Service, Supporting Self-Managed STX and sBTC
2026-09-08 13:17:25
According to CoinMeta, the xverse wallet has launched a joint Bitcoin staking service. Users can pair their sBTC and STX tokens to participate in a -5 lock-up cycle. During the staking period, the Bitcoin remains on the Bitcoin mainnet and is under the user's own control, without the need for cross-chain operations or encapsulation. To use this feature, users need to upgrade their wallets to the xverse v2.9 version. Registration closes on September 9th, or if the quota is used up ahead of time, staking rewards are expected to be distributed starting from September 10th, with Bitcoin block 966350, corresponding to the 143rd cycle of Stacks. UTXO (a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc), HashKey Cloud, and 21Shares have already joined as anchoring participants. xverse has managed approximately 152 million non-hosted staked STX tokens.
